Prior to his role with the Cavaliers, Culea served as director of the White House Travel Office, where he oversaw domestic and international logistics for the President, First Lady, senior White House officials, United States Secret Service, White House Military Office and the White House Press Corps. Culea has also served as advisor on Congressional Affairs for the U.S. Department of Energy.
Culea began his career in sports with roles at the NBA and Brooklyn Nets, contributing to marquee events including the NBA Draft, NBA Finals and international programming. In addition to his time in federal government, Culea also brings political campaign experience, having served in several roles on congressional campaigns, town board slates, a statewide ballot initiative and multiple presidential campaigns.
