Welcome to the SportsTravel Bid Bowl. Here you will find a list of events that are actively seeking hosts, with RFPs from regional, national and international sports-event organizers who are looking to partner with destinations in the future. To find out about each item below, click on “More Information” to get details about what the event organizer is looking for, as well as a complete RFP with even more specifications about the event including venue requirements, hotel needs and fees associated with bidding.

European Aquatics SwimSafe 2025 Conference

Bid Deadline: Rolling

About the Organization: European Aquatics welcomes expressions of interest from potential hosts of the Swim Safe Europe 2025 Annual Conference which will take place November 28–29 with between 150-300 participants expected to take part. The conference will bring together Olympians, academic leaders and experts from across the aquatic community. A minimum number of 65 on-site participants staying at the official hotel should be reached before the conference takes place onsite. If onsite participation is less than 65, the conference will be held online. MORE INFORMATION


USA Ultimate Division I and Division III Championships

Bid Deadline: August 31

About the Organization: USA Ultimate is looking for a partner who can host the Division III event over the weekend prior to Memorial Day and also looking for a partner who can host Division I over Memorial Day weekend. The organization needs access to facilities three days before the event begins (but do not need access to use the fields) for setup and to line the fields. MORE INFORMATION


2028 and 2030 World Athletics Race Walking Team Championship

Bid Deadline: September 1

About the Organization: The World Race Walking Team Championships brings together the world’s best race walkers to compete for their nations on the big stage. The World Race Walking Team Championships in 2028 and 2030 will now feature the new marathon and half marathon races, along with the pre-existing U20 10km races, and the 2028 edition will be a qualifier for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games. 2027 and 2028 USCAA Small College World Series

Bid Deadline: September 1

About the Organization: The Small College World Series brings together the USCAA Softball & Baseball National Championships to one destination, held concurrently in a single destination. The event features the top 10 small college softball and top 10 small college baseball teams in the nation. The weeklong event brings more than 550 participants into the host destination. 2026 U.S. Open Netball Championships

Bid Deadline: September 1

About the Organization: The U.S. Open Netball Championships since 2010 has brought together women’s and mixed co-ed netball teams from around the world to compete. The event has participation of 32 adult netball teams (approx. 500 athletes and volunteers) from across the U.S., Canada, Caribbean, UK and Australia. MORE INFORMATION


USA Artistic Swimming Championships

Bid Deadline: September 1

About the Organization:  USA Artistic Swimming will accept bids from any city, CVB, sports commission or artistic swimming division interested in hosting a national event. The bid must provide facilities, commit services, supply personnel and volunteers and proposed host hotels to USA Artistic Swimming, which is interested in multiyear agreements with hosts that will rotate through multiple events. Proposals are accepted and evaluated on a rolling basis. MORE INFORMATION


2028 U.S. Olympic Team Trials — Marathon

Bid Deadline: September 2

About the Organization: The 2028 U.S. Olympic Team Trials — Marathon  will select the U.S. Team of six athletes (three men, three women) for the 2028 Olympic Summer Games in Los Angeles and will also be the USATF Marathon Championships. Preference will be given to bids that also include the trial event for the Para Marathon Trial. The selected site shall include ancillary events for athletes, coaches, and their representatives, practice venues for the duration of competition week and an extensive shuttle network within and around the metropolitan area. 2026 Skate America

Bid Deadline: September 5

About the Organization: Skate America is the annual international figure skating competition hosted by U.S. Figure Skating. This event features top U.S. and international athletes competing in each of the four disciplines at the highest international levels. A city must be serviced by an international airport (direct international flights preferred). Serving as the traditional start of the Olympic-eligible figure skating season annually, Skate America includes a total of 60 athletes (12 Women, 12 men, 8 pairs teams and 10 dance teams) from 12-15 nations over four days. 2026 National Collegiate Boxing Championships

Bid Deadline: September 15

About the Organization: The 50th anniversary event is organized by the  NCBA which  remains the senior college boxing governing body in the United States and provides student athletes an opportunity to box at the recreational, intramural and competitive levels. Approximately 120 or more athletes qualify for the championships and are supported by over 60 coaches, officials and doctors. Appropriate venues are large hotel ballrooms and small to mid-size event/conference venues, fieldhouses and armories. Large basketball arenas can be considered with a plan to minimize the empty spaces. MORE INFORMATION


FIS Alpine Junior World Ski Championships (2026 and Beyond) and FIS Snowboard, Freestyle and Freeski Junior World Championships (2026 and Beyond)

Bid Deadline: September 15

About the Organization: The events are attended hundreds athletes from over 50 countries over the course of 8-11 days. Host destinations and countries work with the organizers on side events, logistics, sports & operations and safe sport activities. Until the bid deadline is the letter of intent period plus information on proposed infrastructure and venues. A decision on a future host(s) will be approximately October 2025. 2026 Major League Quadball Championship

Bid Deadline: September 15

About the Organization: Major League Quadball is a national league that runs from June 1 to August 30. The majority of seasonal activity takes place between June 1 and July 31. The event features not only the Benepe Cup but the MLQ Next Gen Showcase, and Take Back the Pitch. The Next Gen Showcase is a series of matches highlighting the next generation of MLQ stars. 2026 USA Dodgeball Events

Bid Deadline: September 30

About the Organization: Each year, USA Dodgeball organizes a series of six tournaments culminating in our highly anticipated Nationals tournament. USAD primarily looks for venues with hardwood or sport courts, volleyball courts are optimal as they are generally the correct size without modification. A minimum of seven volleyball courts are needed. MORE INFORMATION


Triton World Series

Bid Deadline: September 30

About the Organization: Triton is looking for a host destination for 2026–2028. Since Triton is a triathlon, a lake, ocean, river, reservoir or similar body of water, must be at a fairly close range. The event should attract 2.000-plus participants. The competition takes place across three consecutive days, separating the swim, the bike and the run, into individual events. MORE INFORMATION


World Athletics Ultimate Championship

Bid Deadline: October 1

About the Organization: The host selection process for the 2028 edition of the World Athletics Ultimate Championship is now open. The launch of this process follows news last week about the inaugural edition, taking place in Budapest in September 2026. The Ultimate Championship has been developed to ensure every athletics season culminates with a major global championship. The bid pre-qualification form is available here and for further information about this hosting opportunity, contact World Athletics Head of Bidding Mark Hurst at bidding@worldathletics.org.


2026 USATF National Youth Outdoor Championships

Bid Deadline: October 1

About the Organization: Bidders proposing to host the 2026 USATF National Youth Outdoor Championships will be considered from any location across the country. The Championships will be awarded at the USA Track & Field, Inc. 2025 Annual Meeting. Site selection will be made from among those fully and properly completed big applications submitted to USATF. Finalists will be recommended by the site evaluation committee which is selected by the USATF National Office. MORE INFORMATION


2027-2030 U.S. Figure Skating Championships

Bid Deadline: October 1

About the Organization: U.S. Figure Skating is accepting proposals to host the 2027-30 U.S. Figure Skating Championships. The U.S. Figure Skating Championships will feature competition in the Senior, Junior, Novice, Intermediate and Juvenile levels and will serve as the final qualifying event prior to the selection of the U.S. Figure Skating Teams that will compete at the World Championships and 2030 Olympic Winter Games. The tentative dates are January 14-24, 2027;  January 13-23, 2028; January 12-21, 2029; and December 31-January 6, 2030. MORE INFORMATION


2027-2030 U.S. Synchronized Skating Championships

ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION: U.S. Figure Skating, the National Governing Body for figure skating in the United States, is seeking proposals from a local organizing committee (LOC) to partner to host Synchro Championships. More than 1,700 skaters from approximately 90 of the top synchronized skating teams from across the country will compete for U.S. titles in eight divisions: senior combined, junior, collegiate, juvenile, intermediate, novice, adult and masters MORE INFORMATION


2029 and 2031 World Athletics Championships

Bid Deadline: October 1

ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION: The World Athletics Championships is one of the most prestigious major international sporting events in the world. Member federations and host institution stakeholders interested in hosting or receiving more information about staging either of these events should consult the World Athletics Championships 2029 and 2031 bid guide and then complete and return the bid pre-qualification form. Further information can be requested from Mark Hurst, Head of Bidding at World Athletics. Road Runners Club of America 2026 Championship Event Series

Bid Deadline: October 1 for regional events; November 1 for state events

About the Organization: The RRCA Championship Event Series is the largest grassroots-organized running series in the U.S. with over 200 races participating that attract nearly 300,000 participants. RRCA Championship Events are designated annually at the State, Regional and National level through a competitive bidding process. Only RRCA member clubs and events may bid for an RRCA Championship designation. MORE INFORMATION


2026-2030 World Para Ice Hockey Events

Bid Deadline: November 1

About the Organization: World Para Ice Hockeyis inviting bids for international events scheduled across the 2026–2030 Paralympic Winter Games cycle. Available events include the Women’s World Championships, A-Pool-, B-Pool, and C-Pool World Championships, and development activities such as the annual Development Camps. MORE INFORMATION


Hoop It UP 3×3 Basketball

Bid Deadline: November 1

About the Organization: Founded in 1989, Kevin Garnett’s Hoop It Up is looking for new communities to partner with for future events. It needs a minimum of four full court basketball courts. Interested in indoor or outdoor hosting options and it will bring portable hoops for an outdoor event. MORE INFORMATION


World Downhill Skateboarding Championship 2026

Bid Deadline: November 15

About the Organization: The organization is looking to create new events in North America in conjunctioin with the federation, and depending on the location, can go March-October. Weather is an important factor when selecting location. Events normally run Friday to Sunday, but can vary as needed. Events bring in up to 200 elite downhill skateboarders from over 30 countries and an estimated 7,500–15,000 spectators over the course of the event. MORE INFORMATION


National Collegiate Wrestling Championships and Convention

Bid Deadline: December 20

About the Organization: The National Collegiate Wrestling Championships and Convention will attract some of the best college athletes in the country from over 160 universities like UCLA, Texas and Georgia to smaller Colleges like Liberty, Toledo and Tarelton St. 530 male and 160 female athletes will qualify to make the trip to Nationals culled from 9 Conference Championships held across the country in early March. 2027 National Women’s Martial Arts Federation Annual Conference

Bid Deadline: December 30

About the Organization: The NWMAF’s annual conference is an event bringing together women, youth, transgender and nonbinary martial artists, healing arts practitioners, empowerment self-defense students and teachers from all over the world. We offer a full schedule of classes and workshops, featuring instructors from a broad range of styles and arts. We prefer that the venue be available sometime between late-June and mid July. MORE INFORMATION


World Gay Boxing Championships

Bid Deadline: December 30

About the Organization: The organization has held two boxing competitions. The first was in Sydney, delivered as part of World Pride, and the second was an exhibition event in Chicago. WGBC has been featured in CNN, BBC Sport, ABC, CBS, The Guardian and Out Magazine. It is looking for a space that can hold a boxing ring, training and officials area with at least 150-plus spectators, audio-visual capabilities and the ability to offer food and beverages. National Horseshoe Pitchers Association Events

Bid Deadline: December 31

About the Organization: The NHPA is looking for hosts for the 2026 World Doubles Championship, 2026 U.S. Nationals or U.S. Open plus the 2030 World Championships. The NHPA is the official governing body of sanctioned and maybe professional horseshoe pitching across the world, crowning world champions in nine divisions each summer. MORE INFORMATION


USA Boxing Future Events

Bid Deadline: December 31

About the Organization: USA Boxing has events on a variety of levels open for bidding in 2025, 2026 and 2027. Competitive bids will include facilities, services, value-in-kind donations and financial support to make the event successful for the city, Local Boxing Committee (LBC) and participants, while representing the USA Boxing brand. Each USA Boxing event welcomes on average 1,200 boxers, 800 coaches, and 100-150 officials & staff for a 7-day tournament. MORE INFORMATION


2027–2028 USCAA Volleyball and Cross Country National Championships

Bid Deadline: February 2, 2026

About the Organization: The Volleyball and Cross Country National Championships bring together USCAA Divisions I and II Volleyball and the Men’s and Women’s Cross Country National Championships to a single destination, held concurrently in the second weekend in November. Held in Uniontown, Pennsylvania since 2023, the event features the top 12 volleyball teams in the nation and every cross country team in the USCAA. The four day event brings more than 400 participants into the host destination. MORE INFORMATION


2028 Horseshoe Pitching World Championship

Bid Deadline: July 1, 2026

About the Organization: The National Horseshoe Pitchers Association World Championships brings upward of over 1,000 athletes to compete in the two-week event, pending entries, with 500-750 hotel nights on peak at some locations.  There is a need for an indoor convention center with minimum of 50,000 square feet of air-conditioned, column free, concrete space. MORE INFORMATION


2028 USA Powerlifting Raw And Collegiate Nationals

About the Organization: The USA Powerlifting Raw Nationals attracts hundreds of competitors who participate in various weight classes and divisions, including youth, junior, and masters categories.
