Milwaukee to Host Third Annual Esports Event

Cream City Convergence will come to the Bair Center in downtown

Milwaukee will again become a hub for competitive gaming as Cream City Convergence has announced the return of its third year in the city.

Hosted at the Baird Center, the esports event on August 30 is expected to attract players and fans from across the world to compete in popular fighting game titles.  Last year’s event saw over 1,000 attendees from 35 states and seven countries. This year’s event will feature competition in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Street Fighter VI, Tekken 8, Guilty Gear Strive and more.

The event this year will a new partnership with First & Bowl, giving attendees a fun and competitive space outside of gaming. The tournament floor will also feature a lineup of artists, merch booths and vendors.

“We couldn’t be more excited for Cream City Convergence entering into its third year,” said Brandon Tschacher, president of the Milwaukee Esports Alliance. “We’re continuing to see growth and interest from people not only in the Midwest, but all over the country and world. This is a chance for Milwaukee and Wisconsin to shine and showcase the incredible esports ecosystem we’ve been building here. It’s truly a one-of-a-kind event and we can’t wait for August 30.”
